Looking for treats for your little (or big!) goblin?
Navigating special events can be tricky as a vegan. And Halloween with little Trick-or-Treaters? All tricky, no treaty.
As vegan parents who have taken our little ones out to trick-or-treat, we know all about it. So our go-to has been to head home with the kiddos haul, and make a game out of trading treats. They give us the garbage (ahem, candy) from their loot bags, and we replace it with vegan, safe, conscience-easing, safe, "better-for-you", did we mention, safe, candy that we purchased ourselves. Or we skip the whole trick-or-treating portion, and do a treasure hunt for the candy (Easter egg style). In the end, we feel confident letting them have the treats, they get to participate in a candy-haul, and we've made some memories we feel great about. All treat, no trick.
